How To Exceed Beyond Expectations – ESV Business Owners Event with Ita Buttrose AO OBE
On Wednesday 27 April ESV held our first Business Owners Event for the year with legendary Australian journalist, media trailblazer and businesswoman, Ita Buttrose.
Held at the beautiful Pavilion on the Domain, over 80 guests were privileged to hear the inspiring stories and personal insights from Ita, a truly exceptional Australian.
Twice voted Australia’s most admired woman, Ita Buttrose was the youngest ever and an unprecedentedly successful Editor of The Australian’s Woman Weekly, the founding editor of Cleo, the first woman to ever edit a major metropolitan newspaper in Australia as Editor-in-Chief of the Sydney Daily & Sunday Telegraphs, and the first woman director of News Limited.
Ita later founded Capricorn Publishing and The Good Life Publishing Company and created ITA Magazine. She is the current National Ambassador of Alzheimer's Australia having served as National President from 2011-2014, Patron of the Macular Disease Foundation, and Emeritus Director of Arthritis Australia.
This impressive list of accomplishments has given Ita a wealth of experience across a broad range of industries, which she generously shared with guests of the event. Her personal reflections on leadership, resilience and coping with change certainly resonated with the business owners in the room.
It was a real privilege to hear Ita share her remarkable story with us at this event. Her exceptional insights into business and leadership left all guests of the event feeling truly inspired.
ESV will continue to host inspiring leaders as part of our Business Owners Event Series, to share their passion with us and reveal what inspires their own business journey. There is so much we can learn from the insights of pioneers like Ita Buttrose.
